Problem with hydraulic opening system for Astra G Cabrio

Hello, I am Mikkel in Denmark and have problems with the opening mechanism for the top. When activating the swich nothing happens but the alarm sound. I can open the top by hand and close and lock the cover plate using the hydraulic mechanism. When I want to close the top again the cover plate opens, but the top is not drawn up from the compartment again. The hydraulic pump continues to operate as long the switch is activated. Can anybody give me a hint what could be the problem and how to fix it. Regards Mikkel Thomsen, Copenhagen Denmark.

Hi Mikkel,

Maybe it is a lack of hydraulic oil?
This made my SAAB convertible top react unreliably...
Oil refill and everything was okay!

Or, as the alarm indicates, some end position switch might be misaligned.

Hi Martin,

Thanks for the tip, I will try to top up the hydraulic oil. The level is at the lower mark and may be my problem. Mikkel
